Established in 2009 in Karnataka, India, on the banks of the Tungabhadra River. Inspired by its namesake, the glorious Vijayanagara Empire, the company has carved out a niche for itself in the industry. t is engaged in the manufacturing of Sugar with a capacity of 6,000 TCD and 600 TPD, churning out of Biofuels in its distillery of 120 KLPD capacity, co-generation of renewable Power in its 33.5 MW plant, production of 50 TPD CO2and bringing out of Organic Fertilisers.

VSPL has an annual turnover of over Rs. 500 crores. Operating with over 500 employees, the company benefits thousands of farmers and labourers in over 200 villages in 3 districts of Karnataka. It also offers farm extension services such as harvesting and transport through its team of 70 people.Testifying to the quality of its products are the many awards and certifications it has obtained, including FSSC 22000, Bonsucro certificate for sustainable sugarcane, and Halal India stamp of approval.

The company also deploys several sustainability measures, such as minimising groundwater extraction, advice and assistance to farmers-to manage their resources better, conservation of energy through high-pressure boilers and instrumentation at various machines, and ensuring zero liquid discharge by treating the waste water generated and pumping it back into the system.
